Diary of an inspired Mum - 10th February 2014
I honestly believe one person can make a difference, making a difference does not have to be a big achievement; it can be a simple gesture of kindness to another person in need. Neknomination is a notorious drinking game in which people video themselves drinking alcohol to completion before challenging two friends to do the same, they have 24 hours to out-do their challenger. A proudly South African moment, a young man recently posted a video to YouTube of himself handing an impoverished man a sandwich, chocolate and cool drink, in an attempt to put a positive spin on the trend, click here to view the clip. I challenge you all to make a difference and give a person in need some lunch, video it and post it on Facebook and nominate two friends to do the same, pay it forward and be part of a revolution of kindness to your fellow human beings. My kids and I made a lunch pack and gave it to a lady on crutches at the traffic lights on Saturday. My son has shown this video to his class and will be challenging them all to make a difference. You won't believe the impact this will have on your children; my kids were so excited that they now want to do this every Saturday.
If you haven't made a New Year's Resolution yet then maybe adopting a charity would be a great idea. ps Happy Valentine's Day for Friday. |
